French Fry Feed and Fireworks Display

The annual French Fry Feed in University Park, sponsored by Simplot, will be held on Thursday, September 16, 2010 from 5pm to dusk.

In 2009 and 2008 the record was not broken. In 2006 the record of french fries served was broken and 4,680 pounds of fries were served. The previous record of 4,518 pounds was set in 2005 at the French Fry Feed. It was estimated that around 10,000 people were served. About 113 gallons of ketchup were used as well.

 

Potato Bowl committee members and other volunteers provide free activities and games for kids at University Park, AND extra help serving the fries for Simplot's French Fry Feed!

The French Fry Feed will be followed by the Rydell Fireworks Display and Pep Rally at Memorial Stadium. This will begin approximately at 7:30 pm. The UND Football team, coaching staff, UND cheer team, and Pride of the North marching band will be on hand to help celebrate Potato Bowl week. Everyone is invited to attend and watch the fireworks.
